Berkshire Bach Society Ensemble

Founded by harpsichordist Kenneth Cooper, the Berkshire Bach Ensemble is one of America's most dynamic chamber ensembles. Comprising nationally and internationally known virtuosi with a devotion to Bach, to chamber music and to profound musical values, the ensemble has a reputation for elegance of style, versatility and ebullient liveliness. Our repertoire ranges from the Bach solo and duo sonatas to the concerti and vocal works.

The Berkshire Bach Ensemble, under the direction of maestro Kenneth Cooper, has performed the complete Musical Offering, the Orchestral Suites, the Christmas Oratorio, and is especially celebrated for its New Year's performances of the Six Brandenburg Concerti [one of the BBS recordings available on CD with Annual Fund donations]. Great works of Handel, Telemann, Vivaldi and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach have also been featured at our concerts.
