Berkshire Bach Society Fundraiser with Maestro Joseph Silverstein at The Old Red Mill in Ashley Falls 1204 Ashley Falls Road (Route 7A), Ashley Falls Center Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 8PM You are warmly invited to a private concert at The Old Red Mill with renowned violinist Joseph Silverstein presenting a glorious musical treat, “Three Violins and Three Bows” and featuring his three period violins from the 1700’s. The Maestro will play excerpts from Bach’s sonatas and partitas for solo violin. This is a rare opportunity to experience the distinctive sounds of authentic period instruments in the hands of a master in a unique and intimate setting. Joseph Silverstein A beloved neighbor and friend, he is best known to many of us as concertmaster of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and equally regarded for his many appearances as conductor of the BSO, as Music Director of the Utah Symphony Orchestra, and as a guest conductor and a solo performer who has graced the stages of concert halls all over the world. The Old Red Mill Perched above the mill pond, touching the waterfall, this magnificent historic home provides a unique environment for the evening’s performance.
